Hampshire Creatives' Advice Hub - From Crickets to Clients: Making Your Videos Actually Work
Here's the brutal truth: creating content isn't the same as having a system.
Most freelancers stop at "I made a thing" and wonder why clients aren't magically appearing.
In this no-fluff follow-up, Jeremy breaks down the three mistakes killing your videos, and how to fix them so people actually watch, remember you, and take action.
The 3 mistakes we'll fix:
- Mistake #1: Your video is "about me" instead of "about them" (flip this to 70% "you" language and watch what happens)
- Mistake #2: Your video has no structure (the Hook-Body-CTA formula that keeps people watching and converts them into leads)
- Mistake #3: You're talking to everyone, so you reach no one (niche down using the 3-question framework and become unforgettable)
By the end of this session, you'll have rewritten your video using the exact structure that works.
Not "homework for later". Done, in the session, ready to publish.
You'll leave with a clear avatar, a proven formula, and a simple system that turns viewers into paying clients.
No more guessing. No more hoping.
Just a repeatable process that actually brings you work.

With nearly two decades in UK Broadcast TV working as a Cameraman (and latterly as a DP and Producer of Concert Films), for me it’s all about creating the best possible work whatever the constraints you may be facing. It’s all about keeping an open mind, being flexible, friendly and always open to learning. Always striving for the best, and having fun doing it – that’s what keeps me going. That and tea. I am a partner and director of Motion Picture Stills and Video – a boutique production company which is all about creating amazing video and stills content. I have produced and DP’d a number of Concert Film and Music Documentaries (some of which you have seen here), and have a number of other projects in development. And as if that wasn’t enough, I also own lighting and camera kit, so can facilitate shoots of whatever size you may need.
