New Forest Business Ready Workshop for Creative Practitioners

Are you a New Forest based creative or cultural practitioner? Do you want to build the foundations for a successful creative enterprise?

You are invited to take part in a free half-day workshop designed to help you achieve your business goals.

Wednesday 27 January 2027, 1pm - 4pm : Forest Arts Centre, New Milton

Delivered by IncuHive, in partnership with New Forest District Council and Hampshire Cultural Trust, the workshop will provide practical guidance for artists, makers, designers, performers and other creative professionals who are considering self-employment or looking to strengthen the business side of their practice.

Taking place at Forest Arts Centre, the session will cover key topics including choosing the right business structure, understanding finances and developing a simple business plan as well as ways to find customers on a limited budget. Participants will also learn about funding opportunities and support available to creative businesses across Hampshire.

The workshop will be led by experienced business adviser, Rich Burn, and is free to attend thanks to funding from New Forest District Council and Hampshire Cultural Trust.

With places limited to 15 participants, creative practitioners are encouraged to register their interest early as places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and priority will be given to creative practitioners in the New Forest area who are considering self-employment, or who are already trading but haven't yet put the basics in place.
